Get into golf

I created, implemented and managed the national marketing campaign for Get into golf – a highly successful recruitment programme to inspire people to take up golf.

Run by England Golf and supported by Sport England National Lottery funding it is delivered by clubs and PGA professionals through a range of beginner activities and follow-on opportunities.

In the four years since I created the national marketing campaign, it has connected with millions of people, building brand awareness and transforming perceptions of the game.

This resulted in 180,925 people attending a beginner activity and 22,506 new golf club memberships between 2013-2017 and the number of women participating dramatically increased to 43%. This was achieved by identifying an untapped market, only 13% of golf club members are female.
